Lok & Blok and Moisture Block

  1. Squeeze excess water from hair. Add a quarter size (more or less, depending on hair thickness and length). Place in palms and rub together. Add more as needed to control frizz.
  2. Pat on ends starting in the back.
  3. Scrunch throughout up to roots (add it into the roots if they are kinky).
  4. Brush for even distribution.
  5. Dry – with a blower or let dry naturally.
  6. Style – with a flat iron or curling iron (no round brush necessary).

(For African American hair, massage another dime or quarter’s worth of Lok & Blok into the roots and brush), this will give you extra protection in high humidity or when working out.

Flat Ironing

  1. Follow directions above
  2. If your hair is very thick and coarse or you’re in very high humidity, after drying, add a more Lok & Blok as directed.
  3. Turn flat iron up to 450 degrees F, no less then 400 degrees F. Lower temps may not work as well against reversion.
  4. Hold for a count of 3 at the roots. This is for those that have frizzy roots only.
  5. Turn the flat iron to a 45 degree angle and pull through for a count of 8.
  6.  When finished, rake through a small amount of Lok & Blok and brush.

Natural Curls

  1.  Apply the same way as described above.
  2. Apply Lok & Blok and Finisher and brush after each application.
  3. Let dry naturally or diffuse. If you start to see a halo frizz while diffusing, then spray more Finisher through the hair, gently rake with fingers and continue diffusing. DO NOT BRUSH OR SCRUNCH YOUR HAIR WHILE DRYING!
  4. Add Lok & Blok to finger tips and separate curls gently for extra protection, curl definition and shine DO NOT BRUSH!
  5. For African American hair types, we suggest using Lok & Blok as described in # 1 and 2 without Finisher. Messy dry your hair, add a little more Lok & Blok (no round brush necessary).  Brush then use your curling iron. The curls will come out extremely shiny, defined and protected. Rake through a little more Lok & Blok.

Straight or Wavy hair

  1.  Apply LESS than described above. Do not apply at the roots unless they tend to frizz.
  2. Blow dry with a round brush or hands.
  3. For volume, add  Finisher to the roots when hair is dry and blow dry directly into the roots, against hair growth
  4. Hold your style with Finisher.

Use Lok & Blok in your Conditioner for better results

  1. In your shower add healthy pump of Lok & Blok to your conditioner in the palm of your hand.
  2. Mix together in your palms then apply; starting at the ends and working your way up to the scalp.

Finisher

As a Hair Spray

  1. Hold Finisher about 8 inches from the area of your hair where you desire hold and press
the pump hard, using a sweeping motion while spraying. This will give you even coverage.
  2. Add more layers of coverage as you desire.
  3. If you want to adjust you hair later, do not add more Finisher but instead mist your hair with
a little water and adjust. No more finisher is required.

As a Curl Definer

  1. Apply Lök & Blök or Moisture Block on wet hair as directed. Apply more than normal.
(For example, if you normally use a US quarter size, apply another ½ quarter size. Start
at ends and work up to roots.)
  2. Spray Finisher over Lök & Blök or Moisture Block when hair is wet. Brush both products
    through for even distribution.
  3. Either twist or don’t twist hair and diffuse or let dry naturally; your choice.
  4. As hair starts to dry, you may see some halo frizz starting. Spray a little more Finisher and
continue to dry but do not brush.
  5. When hair is 85% dry, add a little more Lök & Blök or Moisture Block by gently raking it
through the hair. If you twist your hair, you can either gently separate or leave until dried.

As a Volumizer

  1. Apply Lök & Blök or Moisture Block as directed for either flat ironing or wearing hair
    naturally curly.
  2. When your hair is completely styled and finished, lift your hair from the roots at the crown
    or wherever you desire volume.
  3. Hold Finisher about 2 inches from the roots and spray.
  4. When you have applied to all of the areas, place your blower on high heat/low air and
lift the hair from the roots.
  5. Point the blower into the areas for about 3 seconds at the roots where you sprayed Finisher.
Pull the blower away and continue holding your hair in the same position for a count of 10.
  6. Move to the next section and repeat until all of your hair is standing up from the scalp.
  7. Hand-scrub your roots to break up the hair.
  8. Lightly brush into place.
  9. Place the brush at the same areas, holding it away from the scalp into position.
  10. Spray with Finisher in each section. Lightly adjust and that’s it!
